Storm Chasers Homestand Highlights: April 17-24

Opening Night Fireworks, Salute to UNO Hockey Night, giveaways and more!

OMAHA, Neb. – The Storm Chasers opened up their Back-to-Back Triple-A National Championship defense with a win last night in New Orleans, but one week from today the “Champs Return” to Werner Park for the first homestand of the 2015 season against New Orleans and Memphis!

 

OPENING NIGHT/HY-VEE FRIDAY FIREWORKS – Friday, April 17 at 7:05 p.m.

The Storm Chasers will raise a Triple-A National Championship banner for the second straight season in their home opener, and Opening Night will also feature the first Hy-Vee Friday Fireworks show of the season as well as a Magnet Schedule Giveaway to the first 1,500 fans presented by King Kong! The Storm Chasers coaching staff and ownership group will also receive their American League Champion rings from the Kansas City Royals in a pre-game ceremony.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FLAG GIVEAWAY – Saturday, April 18 at 2:05 p.m.

A special Saturday day game will see the first 1,500 fans in attendance receive a 2014 Triple-A National Championship flag presented by the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety.  We hope this is a yearly tradition!

ANTI-BULLYING/“ALL ABOUT KIDS” DAY - April 22 at 11:05 a.m.

The Home Run Foundation of Greater Omaha, the charitable arm of the Storm Chasers, and the Anti-Defamation League will team up to promote Anti-Bullying on “All About Kids” Day! The Anti-Defamation League will provide tips on how to stop bullying and give information throughout the game as part of the educational theme of the day.

SALUTE TO UNO HOCKEY NIGHT – Thursday, April 23 at 6:35 p.m.

The University of Nebraska-Omaha Men’s Hockey Team made it all the way to the NCAA Frozen Four for the first time in program history, and the Storm Chasers will “Salute UNO Hockey” on the first Thirsty Thursday of the season.  Fans can take advantage of $5 tickets with the promo code “UNLEASHTHEFURY” online at www.omahastormchasers.com/tickets or by presenting their UNO student ID at the Werner Park Ticket Office.

April 19 will be the first US Bank Family FUNDAY with Hardee’s Kids Run the Bases, Roli Poli the Clown and Petting Zoo, with a second Magnet Schedule Giveaway presented by King Kong!  The first homestand finishes off with the second Hy-Vee Friday Fireworks game of the 2015 season on April 24!
